About Us

Cub Campers is a family-owned business that has been the proud manufacturer of the Cub camper trailer for over 42 years. All our camper trailers are made in our factory in North Rocks, Sydney, and we distribute throughout Australia, New Zealand and North America. The Cub Camper is Australia’s most popular flip top camper trailer, and our range is extensive: from the Kamparoo Junior, which is easily towed behind a motorcycle, to the Spacevan – which includes the off-road Spacevan Drover, voted number 1 in the ‘Best Rough Road Camper Trailer’ category in the 2009 RV & Caravan Magazine awards.

All in the family

Cub Campers was the brainchild of JK Fagan, who began manufacturing box trailers in 1968. He was soon joined by his son Roger, and the Cub camper trailer was born. Roger’s son Shane now works in the business, overseeing and improving the manufacturing processes of the factory.

Innovation & Reliability

One of the reasons the Cub Camper trailer have proven to be so popular over the years is their reliability and consistent performance. All camper trailers are made using monocoque construction, which makes them incredibly durable and tough. In addition, Cub camper trailers are renowned for their light ball weight, which makes the camper trailer experience accessible for even small car owners. Cub Campers strives for constant improvement and is always looking for ways to make their Cub camper trailer more user-friendly – the Ezy-Wind set up system, which allows the camper trailer to be put up and closed down within minutes is one such feature.

Proving Ground

Unlike its competitors, Cub Campers puts all its camper trailer designs through a rigorous test program at the company’s Southern Highlands (NSW) Proving Ground. The Cub Camper trailer Proving Ground has been constructed on 200 acres of privately-owned land that features steep, rocky slopes and river-edge sand. Tracks on the property have been developed to replicate rural property roads and the access roads are heavily corrugated. Read more
