Cub Campers is excited to announce that The Great Escape will be joining us at the 4×4 Fishing & Boating Expo this weekend, 31 March to 2 April.
The Great Escape will be joining the Cub team at the Brisbane 4×4 Expo at stand A422 from Friday midday and all day Saturday. Nathan, Renee and their three-year-old son Ryan have been travelling in a Cub Escape since January 2016. And they have no plans to stop exploring this incredible country of ours any time soon!
So if you are thinking about travelling Australia in a camper trailer, whether for a week, six months, a year or longer, Nathan and Renee will be able to answer your questions. How much money will you need? What should you pack? Which places should you go? How long should you stay there? Where should you stay? Which Cub camper should you buy? Which options do you need?
Here’s a taste of what they’ve experienced:
After leaving their Melbourne home, they headed north, travelling up the east coast as far as Cape York. They’ve explored outback Queensland, discovering natural wonders like the Daintree, Carnarvon Gorge and the Currawinya National Park in south west Queensland. Experienced travellers, the plan was always to travel for as long as they could, working along the way (Nathan is a carpenter by trade and Renee is a nurse). So far they’ve spent time in towns including Warwick, Innisfail, Atherton, Julia Creek, and Cunnamulla, where Renee has worked as a nurse.
When it came to choosing a Cub, they wanted a camper trailer that was Australian-made, and would get them to all the places they wanted to go. So far haven’t been disappointed. They already had an old soft floor camper and a 4WD. But they knew they’d be gone for a while, so decided to upgrade to what they call their dream camper trailer: a hard floor Cub off-road Escape.
