The Camper Trailer Adventure List – Part 1

2 October 2018

One of the best aspects of living in Australia is that it’s one of the few countries that has so much land that is completely untouched by civilisation. We have everything from dense forests to sprawling deserts; snowy mountains to white-sand beaches. There’s a little bit of something for everyone with heaps of places to visit and tons to explore, but the amount of choice can be overwhelming. To help you narrow down the list of places that best suit you, every month we’ll be bringing you our top 3 picks of places to visit.

If you have any suggestions and photos that you would like us to include in future posts, please send them to marketing@cubcampers.com.au.

Mitchell Falls – Western Australia

Mitchell Falls is the second tallest waterfall in Australia with a cumulative height of around 80 metres. This 4-tier waterfall is an impressive sight and the adventure of getting there is half the fun. It’s not easy to reach and you’ll need to drive through the King Edward River crossing (so if you’re taking a camper trailer, make sure that you’ve chosen one suitable for full off road), but if 4X4 tracks are your thing and you are headed out to The Kimberly in WA, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Lake Catani – Victoria

Located in the Buffalo National Park in Victoria, Lake Catani is an artificial lake created in 1910 to create recreational facilities for the nearby Winter resort. What makes the lake truly stand out is that iconic alpine ash and snow gum forest that surrounds it. This a great spot for both experienced and inexperienced campers, making it a great spot for a no-fuss holiday. They even host an annual “glamping” trial for the nature lovers who favour a few more creature comforts on their adventures.

Booderee National Park – New South Wales

Boasting beaches that look like they’ve been lifted from postcards from exotic tropical destinations, Booderee National Park’s white sand and crystal-clear water is probably one of the best beach holidays you could ask for. There are 3 main options for camping: a natural setting that’s great for families, a mature bushland setting for larger groups , and a grassy camping area amongst coastal tea-trees – perfect for lightweight camping.
