The best time to go to Northern Territory

Being the largest state in Australia, the Northern Territory is split in two regions with quite different temperatures and climates all year round. The red centre’s best times for a camping trip are between March and May or during the spring between September and November. These pockets of the year will mean pleasant temperatures, minimal tourists and crystal clear skies for the ultimate view of the stars at night.

The other region of the Northern Territory is significantly cooler with a dry season between May and July. Visiting during this time of year means you won’t suffer any heights of humidity which can be admittedly gruelling up north. Avoid the wettest season to make sure your driving is nice and safe no matter where you plan on venturing.

Timing your trip carefully will guarantee the best camping experience for you and your fellow campers.
