Originally released into the Australian market in 2020, the Drifter is still the only Australian Made Double Fold camper available, seamlessly combining the comfort and space of a caravan with the functionality and off-road prowess of a camper trailer.
Adding to the legacy of the Drifter, Cub is pleased to announce an additional model to the line-up, the Drifter GT. Optimised for a combination of touring and off-road adventures, the Drifter GT can still accommodate a family of up to six at a more affordable price.
GT stands for Grand Touring, and for Cub this represents camper trailers that can move at speed, in style, safety and comfort. The Drifter GT fills this space perfectly. It’s a camper trailer tailored for performance and Australian travel.
The Drifter GT takes the lightweight capabilities of the popular Scout and combines the functionality and comfort of the Drifter. With a tare of 1240kg, an ATM of 1800kg and a ball weight of 135kg, it’s the perfect camper trailer for families looking for a lighter footprint without sacrificing space. The Drifter GT can sleep up to 6 (with the optional dinette table), creating a spacious living environment perfect for creating memorable camping moments.
We wanted to keep the lightning quick and easy set-up for the Drifter GT. With a set-up time of under 5 minutes, the Drifter GT maintains the speed and ease of set-up found across the Cub range.
Customer feedback and extensive market research has helped shape the design of the Drifter GT. With a focus on offering a more affordable camper trailer without sacrificing living space internally, the Drifter GT is easily able to hold up to 6 people and keep them comfortable. The interior features queen and double beds with LED lighting fitted to ensure the interior is bright and well-lit, whilst minimizing power usage.
Externally, the Drifter GT is fitted with Cub’s famous high-quality kitchen featuring textured stainless steel work surfaces, a SMEV 3 burner stainless steel stove and sink and finally LED lighting. Also included is a 100L heavy-duty water tank as standard and an impressive range of storage options throughout.
