Australian camper trailer manufacturer, Cub Campers, has partnered with the Australian Made Campaign to highlight its continued support of Australian manufacturers and the products they produce.
As the longest-running camper trailer manufacturer in Australia with a legacy spanning 3 generations and over 50 years, Cub Campers has a long history of offering local campers a range of high-quality, Australian made forward-fold, rear-fold and dual-fold camper trailers through its retail and dealership network located in every major region in the country.
Cub owner and Managing Director, Shane Fagan, said, “We’ve always been a proudly Australian company and for us, supporting Australian manufacturing is more than just a tagline. We understand that you can save money by sourcing parts or labour from overseas, but we also know that you get what you pay for. We strongly believe that the quality of Australian materials is better suited to handle the harsh Australian conditions than their imported counterparts, and by committing to keeping our manufacturing on-shore we are supporting the Australian employment. These have always been our values and by joining the Australian Made Campaign, we can now use a logo that helps us to more effectively communicate these values to our customers.”
Almost all Australians (99%) are aware of the Australian Made logo, with the vast majority (84%) associating it with supporting local jobs and employment and over half with products that are of high quality (58%) and are produced using ethical labour (57%).
Australian Made Chief Executive, Ben Lazzaro, said “Australia’s camping industry produces some of the highest quality products and employs thousands of Australians across all areas of the supply chain. There is a huge appetite out there for Australian products, with country of origin increasingly playing an important part in purchasing decisions. Recent Roy Morgan research found that 62% of Australians have a preference for Australian-made Caravan, camping and outdoor living products.
Aussie products are made to some of the highest standards in the world. They are trusted and known for their safety and quality. At the same time, when you buy Australian you are pumping money back into the economy, which helps to keep Aussie jobs, strengthen local industries and supports local communities.”
