Keppel Kraken

This is a fantastic spot for those travelling with little ones who are in need of a little bit of action packed fun. It’s an exciting splash park put together for kids located just 500 metres away from Yeppoon Lagoon. There’s options for water cannons, jets and waterfalls all made for family adventures, as well as barbecues, picnic tables and toilets.

Capricorn Coast National Park

If you’re looking for one of the best things to do around Yeppoon, then do not skip out on a visit to the Capricorn Coast National Park. Visit lookouts, walking paths, rock formations and even volcanic headlands. There are four main sections of the park, including Double head, Rosslyn head, Bluff point and Cocoanut point.Throughout the National Park you’ll see barbecues, walks abound, picnic tables and toilets for extra convenience.

Great Keppel Island

Byfield National Park

Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary

Cooberrie Park opens you up to a vast range of different animals – over 300 different varieties, in fact. You can also picnic, take a dip in the paddling or swimming pool and throw your own barbecue.

Koorana Crocodile Farm

Koorana Crocodile Farm was established in 1981 as the first ever commercial croc sanctuary and farm in the state. The animals are cared for in a kind and bred in a sustainable way as well as given all the help they need when they need it. You can learn all about the crocodiles, feed them, get a few photos taken and even take a tour and a talk about the species for a fun and interactive experience that everyone will love.
